I enjoy outdoor activities, including running, biking and hiking. I also like to participate in races as an avenue to expand my comfort zone, being surrounded by positive people and challenging myself to achieve new goals.

I see with sadness the fall of Venezuela to the greatest humanitarian crisis in history. I decided to team up with “Cuatro Por Venezuela” because this foundation is efficiently delivering medicine and food to those in need.

My dream is to one day to see many young Venezuelans training, competing and growing in a healthty and prosperous country. With your help this dream will become a reality!!

I have lived in the US for 27 years. I am grateful to this country that allowed me to work and raise a family. Despite all my blessings, there is not one day that I do not think about my beautiful home country, Venezuela. During the last two years, I have seen with sadness how Venezuelans are struggling to find medicine and food to cover their primary needs. With three other amazing women, I founded “Cuatro Por Venezuela”, a non profit organization with the mission to alleviate the deep absence of medical supplies, medicine and food. With the help of generous donors, we have delivered life-saving medicine more than 17,000 patients in 14 States in Venezuela, and we have sent food to more than 24 organizations. This year, I will run the Houston Half Marathon with Venezuela in my heart. I will run with love for my friends and my beautiful Venezuela with “Team Cuatro Por Venezuela”. Please support my run donating at www.cuatroporvenezuela.org

I was born and raised in Venezuela, a beautiful country that in the last few years has fallen into dire times.  The people of Venezuela are living through real hardship, where food staples and medicine are scarce and the economy is falling into a deep depression.

The foundation “Cuatro por Venezuela” solicits donations through fundraising activities to deliver resource packages to as many people in Venezuela as possible.  I am running the Houston marathon in January in partnership with “Cuatro por Venezuela” to raise funds that will help provide medicine and food for Venezuelans in need.

Please donate any amount you can, every bit counts and thank you for your help!

My name is Carolina Febres. I have been running since I was 12 years old. I had surgery on my right knee 8 years ago; so I stopped running. Now, I have decided to go back on the road for a very specific motive: my beloved country Venezuela. I joined the Team  Cuatro Por Venezuela in an effort to help my country fellow citizens; providing food and medication. I hope my knees don’t let me down and I can finish my 5K on the Houston marathon.

I am planning to run the Houston half marathon this coming January and I am very excited to team up with Cuatro Por Venezuela to raise funds for a cause that touches me personally very deeply.  I have lived in the US for almost 20 years but with very close family still living in Venezuela I get to see first-hand the impact of the unprecedented humanitarian crisis the country is going through.  Cuatro Por Venezuela is doing a fantastic job in the areas that need the most help: health, nutrition and education.  Venezuela needs the help and support of all of us.  Thanks for your support!

I was born and raised in Caracas, a place that I really miss.  Running is super fun…But running for a cause where I can help a few people back in my home country makes it priceless. Our people have been enduring some of the worst conditions humans can endure. Food and medicine shortages are everyday matters for every Venezuelan regardless of social status. I hope this little effort will take up on January 14 brings some comfort to my true heroes back home.

The shortage of medicines and food in Venezuela has touched all Venezuelans in the country and living abroad, we all have a friend or a family member who is suffering from lack of medicine and constant food shortages.

This Sunday we have the opportunity to help, raising the awareness of those in need and taking donations to support them. Lets run this race together!!!
